Small Business Saturday
Have you already heard from me a million times that I got a place on the prestigious Small Business 100 ? if you haven’t here is a little bit about it.
Iv’e taken part over the last couple of years on the first Saturday in December, this year its Sat 2nd. Created as an antithesis for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In its fifth year, Small Business Saturday supports the ‘shop local’ campaign, and supports small businesses in their communities.
In the 100 days running up to Small Business Saturday a business is featured each day. My day is Monday 23rd Oct where I will be offering a discount and other exciting events.

On Saturday 2nd December I will be running extra candle making workshops at Candle Towers and offering a free candle wick trimmer with each workshop bought.
A Small Business Saturday bus travels around the country raising awareness of small businesses, kicking off in Dundee on Monday 23rd October with 27 stops in five weeks. Pop down where they will be holding workshops and small business exhibiting. You can check out on their website a stop near you.
Customers spent £717m with Small Businesses on Small Business Saturday, and increase of 15% on the previous year.
Over 140,000 tweets were sent on the day reaching 130 million people.
Over 80% of local authorities actively support the campaign.
